HELSINKI-TALLINN ICT BROKERAGE EVENT: BUSINESS AND TECHNOLOGY PARTNERING

Dear recipient,

Culminatum Ltd Oy, Helsinki-Tallinn Euregio, Tallinn Technology Park, Centre of Expertise for Software Product Business together with Helsinki University of Technology Lahti Centre cordially invite Your Company to the Helsinki-Tallinn ICT Brokerage Event: Business and Technology Partnering.

We encourage Your Company to join the Brokerage Event and find out who are your possible partners on the other side of the Gulf! In addition to great possibility for business, technology and R&D partnering, some interesting topics will be highlighted during the plenary session and parallel workshops.

WHO? ICT companies, universities and research institutes, business development agencies and local public authorities in greater Helsinki, Tallinn and Tartu areas. In addition, partners of the “EWISME” (East-West Innovative SMEs) project consortium representing also various other EU countries are invited.

WHEN? Thursday, November 18, 2004 from 11:00 to 17:30

WHERE? Technopolis Vantaa located in the vicinity of Helsinki-Vantaa International Airport

The day will start with a short plenary session. After lunch break there will be parallel thematic workshops. In the plenary session and thematic workshops e.g. the following issues will be addressed:

- Companies’ experiences in operating in Tallinn/Helsinki

- Business environments in Tallinn (Estonia) and Helsinki and new potential for business and cooperation

- What kind of infrastructure and “soft” services the Science and Technology Parks can offer?

- Outsourcing/subcontracting

- Business-to-Business partnering, Business-to-Research partnering, Research-to-Research partnering

The main activities of the day however are the one-to-one partnering meetings. The partnering meetings will be organised and the meeting partners matched according to the needs and wishes of the attending companies/organisations.

The organisers will find companies, research institutes/groups or other organisations matching your interests you have expressed in the company information form and contact you to confirm your interest to meet the parties found.

The REGISTRATION FEE for Estonian participants is EEK 1 200 and covers a group price for the speedboat, bus transportation to and from the seminar venue, the coffee, lunch and event material.

This is Your opportunity to enlarge your Business, Technology and R&D network to Estonia/Finland and find possible partners from companies and university groups in the areas of e.g. software business, IT services, mobile technologies, hardware technologies, IPR, financing etc. The Brokerage Event is organised under the Helsinki-Tallinn Twin City of Science Interreg IIIA project with East-West Innovative Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (EWISME) EU 5th Framework Innovation programme project.
