Ticket – Developing a common intelligent public transport ticket system.
Objectives
To provide for an integrated public transport ticketing system for the , that can be used commonly throughout the regions participating and which will be promoted for usage throughout Europe with the goal of developing a common European public transport ticketing system.
To enhance the capability of municipalities and other public sector actors for a socially effective spatial and transport planning through improved data collection.
To improve the capability of public sector as the purchaser of the public transport service to procure the services through improved data generation and analysis capabilities.
To enhance the effectiveness of public spending for the public transport service through better allocation of finances based on improved data,
To increase the usage of public transport services through an improved, more cost effective and efficient ticketing system.
To improve the usage of public transport through integrated usage of different means of transport.
To increase cross-border co-operation in optimizing the effectiveness and promoting the usage of public transport.

Needs and restrictions assessment and a needs analysis for developing a common intelligent public transport ticketing system in Helsinki Metropolitan Area, Tallinn and Harju County.
